General Recommendations Before Your PMU Appointment
To achieve the best healed results, please follow these recommendations before your permanent makeup or esthetic procedure:
- Avoid alcohol, energy drinks, and excessive caffeine 24 hours before your appointment;
- Do not take aspirin or blood-thinning medications unless prescribed by your doctor;
- Avoid antibiotics or starting hormone treatments right before the procedure;
- Stay hydrated and get enough rest before your visit;
- Avoid sunburn, chemical peels, or aggressive esthetic treatments on the treatment area for at least one week before your appointment.
Proper preparation helps improve pigment retention, healing, and overall results.
Recommendations Before Lip Blush PMU
For beautiful healed lips and better color retention:
- Keep your lips moisturized several days before the appointment using balms or lip masks;
- Avoid dry, cracked, or irritated lips before the procedure;
- If you are prone to cold sores or herpes, begin preventive antiviral medication as recommended by your doctor;
- Avoid lip fillers or strong esthetic treatments shortly before your appointment;
- Gentle exfoliation may be done a few days before the procedure, but not on the same day.
