After-care Essentials

After-care

The secret to long-lasting beauty isn't just the treatment itself—it’s how you care for it in the following days. Whether you’ve just received a rejuvenating aesthetic treatment or a precision permanent makeup session, proper after-care is vital for healing and color retention.

ATTENTION!
Results vary based on skin type, lifestyle, and bone structure.

Eyebrow Aftercare: Microblading, Nano & Ombre. The goal is to keep the area clean and protected while the “micro-channels” in the skin close.

Immediate Care (Day 1)

Lymph Management: For the first 2–4 hours, gently blot the area with a clean, dry tissue or a sterile cotton pad every 30 minutes. This removes “lymph” (clear fluid). If lymph dries on the skin, it forms thick scabs that pull out the pigment.

Sleeping: Sleep on your back. Avoid pressing your face into the pillow to prevent premature pigment loss or irritation.

The Cleaning Routine (Days 2–10)

Gentle Wash: Twice a day (morning and night), wash your hands and then gently clean the brows using a fragrance-free, antibacterial cleanser (like Cetaphil or Dial). Use light, circular motions—do not scrub.

Rinse & Dry: Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a fresh paper towel. Do not use bath towels, as they harbor bacteria.

Moisturize: Apply a tiny amount (the size of a grain of rice for both brows) of the recommended ointment. The skin should not look “wet” or shiny—too much ointment suffocates the skin and can cause blurred results.

Specific Restrictions

Avoid Actives: Keep Retinol, Vitamin C, Glycolic Acid, and Benzoyl Peroxide away from the brow area forever, as they will significantly fade the pigment over time.

Lip Shading Aftercare: Blush & Full Color. Lips are a mucosal membrane and heal faster than skin, but they are highly prone to infection and dryness.

Critical Hygiene

  • Oral Health: Brush your teeth with a “low-foam” toothpaste and use a straw for all liquids for the first 3 days. After every meal, rinse your mouth with water or an alcohol-free mouthwash.
  • The “No” List: No spicy, salty, or very hot/cold foods for 48 hours. No “messy” foods (like burgers or tacos) where the lips might be wiped aggressively.
  • No Kissing: Avoid any friction or contact with the lips (including kissing) for at least 5–7 days to prevent bacterial infection.

Healing Stages

  • Swelling: It is normal for lips to look significantly larger for 24–48 hours. You can apply a cold compress (wrapped in a sterile barrier) for 10 minutes at a time.
  • Peeling: Around day 3, the lips will start to peel. It may look like “chapped lips.” Do not peel them. Keep them saturated with the provided healing balm at all times.
  • Cold Sore Prevention: If you have ever had a cold sore (even once), the procedure can trigger an outbreak. Consult your doctor for an anti-viral (like Valacyclovir) protocol.

Eyeliner & Eyeshading Aftercare
The eye area is extremely delicate. The focus here is on preventing irritation and secondary infections.

Immediate Comfort

  • Swelling: Expect your eyelids to feel heavy and look swollen (like you’ve been crying) for the first 2 mornings. This is normal.
  • Cleaning: Use a cotton swab dampened with distilled water or saline to gently wipe away any “sleep” or crusting from the corners of the eyes. Do not rub the lash line.

Safety Measures

  • Contact Lenses: Do not wear contacts for 72 hours. The friction of putting them in can irritate the fresh pigment.
  • Eyelash Health: Do not use eyelash curlers, lash serums, or lash extensions for at least 3 weeks.
  • New Makeup: When you return to using mascara (after 14 days), you must use a brand-new tube. Old mascara tubes are breeding grounds for bacteria.
  • Sunglasses: Wear sunglasses when outdoors for the first week to protect the sensitive area from wind and UV rays.
SMP requires a very specific protocol to ensure the “dots” stay crisp and don’t blur into a solid mass.

The “Dry” Phase (Days 1–4)

Zero Moisture: No water, no sweat, no steam. Do not wash your head. If you sweat, the pigment “dots” will expand and blur under the skin. Headwear: If you must wear a hat, use a clean, loose-fitting cotton cap. Avoid beanies or tight helmets.

The “Gentle” Phase (Days 5–10)

First Wash: On day 5, you can gently rinse your head with cool water and a tiny bit of sulfate-free shampoo. Do not scrub.
Moisturizing: Start applying a lightweight, fragrance-free moisturizer to prevent the scalp from becoming too dry or flaky.
Shaving: You may use an electric shaver on day 7, but avoid using a wet razor (blade) for at least 14 days.

Long-Term Success

Chlorine & Salt: Avoid swimming for 30 days. Chlorine can chemically alter the pigment color. Sun is the Enemy: The scalp is directly exposed to the sun. To prevent your SMP from turning blue/grey or fading, you must wear SPF 50 daily once healed.

Aesthetic Aftercare

Includes: Advanced MicroNeedling, AQUAGOLD® fine touch™, Diamond Microdermabrasion.

These treatments create micro-channels or exfoliate the surface. Your skin may feel like a mild sunburn for 24–48 hours.

  • Hands Off: Do not touch your face for at least 6 hours. Let the active serums fully absorb.
  • The 24-Hour Rule: Avoid makeup, gym, and heavy sweating for 24 hours.
  • Cleansing: Use only lukewarm water to rinse the skin on the first night. Start using a gentle, non-exfoliating cleanser the following morning.
  • Hydration: Use a pure hyaluronic acid or the post-care cream provided. Avoid “active” skincare (Retinol, Vitamin C, AHAs/BHAs) for 5–7 days.
  • Sun Shield: Your skin is highly sensitive to UV. Apply SPF 50 strictly every day, even if it’s cloudy.

Includes: IPL, Laser Genesis, Nd:Yag Hair Removal, 9D Ultra Facelift, High Frequency.

These treatments use heat or light energy to stimulate change deep within the tissue.

  • Keep it Cool: Avoid anything that adds heat to the skin for 48 hours (hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or spicy foods).
  • Pigmentation Alert (IPL): If you had IPL for sun spots, they may darken and look like “coffee grounds” before flaking off. Do not scrub them.
  • Redness & Swelling: A slight “pinkness” or mild swelling is normal. You may apply a cool compress if needed.
  • No Waxing/Plucking: For Laser Hair Removal, do not wax or pluck between sessions; only shaving is allowed.
  • Gentle Routine: Avoid harsh scrubs or chemical exfoliants for at least 7 days post-treatment.

Includes: Emerald Fat Loss Laser, Signature AquaFacial, LED Light Therapy.

These treatments have little to no downtime, but specific actions can “boost” your results.

  • Hydration (Crucial for Emerald Laser): You must drink at least 2 liters of water daily. The Emerald laser releases fat into your lymphatic system; water helps flush it out.
  • Stay Active: For the Emerald Laser, a 20-minute walk or light movement daily is highly recommended to stimulate lymphatic drainage.
  • Avoid Alcohol: For 24–48 hours after body contouring, avoid alcohol as it slows down the metabolic process of fat removal.
  • Immediate Glow: You can apply makeup immediately after an AquaFacial or LED therapy, but we recommend letting the skin “breathe” until the next morning if possible.
